Inlay to SEE?
Just about anything.
Inlay to DO?

Round dots, made of slices of plastic knitting needles, the same diameter as my drill bit.

I tell my customers that if they want to know which fret it is on my pale maple fingerboards, they have MY permission to write a number with a permanent marker.

What I once had, lost, and can't seem to be able to  purchase another, was a leatherworking stamp, a small butterfly.

Grab that in the Vise Grips (TM) hold it in the flame, and PSHHHHhh, it's branded like a psycho's kittycat!

I like most traditional inlays, as they grow from the pot to the headstock, with their maturity on the headstock.

Of course, having it done in high quality pearl is what works for me.

Nothing is impossible, some things just take longer.
